Inspiration!

For those of you interested, I want you to know how in-depth, deep and downright profound my writing inspiration and content is...

Step 1: Decide I'm going to write on my blog.

Step 2: Look through pictures to try to find inspiration.

Step 3: Come up with some random title.

Step 4: Away we go!

Hahaha!!! Ok so even I'm laughing at my process, but there it is. Of course when I'm done writing, I sometimes have to go back and change the title because I went in an entirely different direction...lol. That's life. (see theme just kicked in)

Seriously though.....that's life. We often have big plans, amazing dreams, goals for where we will be at different stages, but suddenly we look back and our life has taken a different direction than we started with. We can wonder how and why, but at that point, there is only one important question "Is the direction things are going better than I had imagined or worse?"

Now STOP!!!

If it’s better.....take time to be thankful. Thank God for blessing you. Thank the people who have loved and supported you. Smile, laugh, cheer if you have to, but enjoy it!

If it’s worse.....take the time to be thankful. Thank God for being there for you. Thank the people who have loved and supported you. Pray, forgive, refocus and determine that you are not settling for the path you are on. It may be that the wrong path you are on now, if you don't accept it, has equipped you for a brighter future.

I was driving home from work a couple months ago while the sun began to set. It was spectacular. Instead of turning right and going to my house I turned left and drove so I could get a better view. The picture above is that view. Sure it wasn't the direction I had planned to go, it cost me some gas and I got home later, but how wasteful it would be to dwell on those things. The fact is, when that sunset came into view, I was thinking of nothing else. I was engrossed in the beauty. I had no regret.

Don't let the past rob you of your future.
