Now I lay me down to sleep

I see negative everywhere I look. I know, that's awfully negative for (goofy) me to say, but it's true. And I'll tell you another truth, I'm a person who constantly tries to see the best in everyone & everything. No matter the pain and lies, heartbreak and disappointment, I look for good. I will not tell you it doesn't cost me sometimes (ok a lot of the time), but I'd still rather look for the good than have "eyes" that only see the darkness. We have got to see the light! Only in the light can we find our way and be a light to others.

I'm sitting on the edge of my bed about to call it a night when the old children's poem came to mind .... Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, only different words came:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I'm safe and warm with food to eat
If I die before I wake
I hope I lived for Jesus sake

That's my prayer tonight.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
