So I was just thinking about a misquoted/misunderstood scripture...
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
People often say this verse says God will not give us more than we can handle. Nope! It clearly says he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. And if so he gives you a way out.
So, what's my thought you ask? That if the thought comes to your mind that God has given you more than you can bear, you need to rethink who's actually to blame. If God isn't going to let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, do you really think he's dumping a load of burdens on you that you can get out from under?!?! No, he's not. Sounds to me like the work of Satan or a bad choice on your own part maybe.
Need a little more convincing? The same Bible says...
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
See, God is all about the good stuff, not pain and lack and suffering.
Don't let Satan keep you captive in burdens, but give it to God and let him set you free.
